Eh. Seems too “bro” for a trackday. I like that crowd when I’m showing off a jetta I slammed on coilovers and covered in beer labels. Not sure I want to get on a track with them. But I’m pretty sure track rules state that a single ziptie is not enough to hold on a bumper so maybe it’s an unfounded fear.
Plus it’s expensive. So even if the price keeps out the riff raff, weekend track days which are just track time are cheaper. Track night in America nights are during the week, but even cheaper than that.

I can understand that. I’m just going to camp, spectate, and party. haha I’m not sure I’d trust a lot of the people at that event either, but it’s still run like a real HPDE and I doubt Gingerman would let them do it if they weren’t being safe.

Notsure that I’m comfortable with crossing my love of dubstep with my love of ractracks outside of cranking up Deadmau5’s “And today I’m French” while bombing around the course. I think it’s probably a really good event to a very specific crowd but it’s not a very large crowd on here. Are you part of a car club or facebook group that’s going?

A bunch of people from the Upper Midwest FR-S/BRZ Owners FB group are going (mainly all friends of mine), as well as some guys I know from Chicago Region SCCA.

Ah gotchya. I’m driving up to Michigan tomorrow from northern Illinois to volunteer at a Formula SAE event for work, do some work stuff in Northville, then I will go to my cousin’s wedding and vacation in central Michigan, and then go to GridLife. It’s going to be a busy 2 1/2 weeks. haha

Thankfully FSAE is technically work for me, and I’m getting paid/reimbursed for travel expenses. haha
